Mandy Crawford-Lee

Mandy is a highly qualified economic development practitioner and policy manager and a successful influencer of strategic partnerships and employer led groups. She is a regular speaker, writer and opinion maker on all aspects of higher level skills and work-based learning including higher and degree apprenticeships.

She has over 25 years’ experience of managing national and strategically important projects in technical and professional education and skills, including:

  • Extensive work with government departments, providers in higher and further education, awarding organisations, professional bodies and employers to develop effective business and commercial partnerships
  • Research, programme evaluation, commissioning, and policy development having worked in a variety of senior roles at the local, regional and national level in employment and skills, economic development, research and policy development
  • Enhancing HEI and partner understanding of the apprenticeship and vocational qualification system
  • Developing a leadership role for higher education institutions in national skills policy

Mandy is a sound and respected resource and an acknowledged leader of people and ideas, highly committed to engaging key partners in the development of apprenticeships and practical work-based learning solutions. She is also a Fellow of the RSA and the Associate Editor of UVAC’s official journal, Higher Education, Skills and Work-based Learning.
